BÅKBÅK Festival showcases vocal music in its broad spectrum. The one night Festival brings together vocal enthusiasts of different scenes, genres and ages. One of a kind, the evening offers a deep dive into what the voice has to say. A fun, fast pace night, of known and unknown sounds.

“The loud, the silent, the usual, the weird, the collective, the solitary, the traditional, the radical.” BÅKBÅK Festival for Vokal Musik, som blev afholdt på spillestedet Basement den sidste fredag i august, viste, hvordan stemmen er sit eget instrument, en vildt kompleks arkitektur, og at der i stemmen findes så mange skjulte kamre og underjordiske gange, som kan åbne endnu uanede universer. Endagsfestivalen lykkedes med at vise et bredt spektrum af eksperimenter med vokalen i centrum og samlede, hvad der kunne virke som en måske lidt overset scene i det københavnske musikliv.
